How RTI can be integrated in journey planning systems on the base of the VDV 453 / 454 and the European standardised interface SIRI
The presentation covers the historical and technical background of the interfaces VDV 453/454 and SIRI, which are to-date the most wide-spread standard interfaces in Europe for exchanging public transport real-time data between servers. Moreover, the use cases for real-time data in journey planning systems and examples for delivery channels based on the latest technologies are discussed. Finally, the talk gives a short overview of forthcoming extensions to these standard interfaces.
