46. User Group in Wien
Sunny and warm 'Kaiser' weather greeted the participants at this spring?s user group in Vienna. On 8-9 April 2010, more than 80 delegates from Germany, Austria, Great Britain and Switzerland met in the magnificent Coat of Arms Hall in the Vienna City Hall to find out about the newest software solutions and projects from mdv.
ITS Vienna Region, who hosted the event, not only made sure that the conference ran smoothly, they also arranged for a diverse cultural program outside of the ?official? agenda.
The various presentations covered topics such as real-time capable journey planners, data platforms for real-time systems, journey planning on mobile devices, electronic fare finders, as well as new system versions DIVA 4 and EFA 10. Guest speaker Mr. Hans Fiby presented the Intermodal Traffic Management Project ITS Vienna Region, while Mr. Thomas Haberer reported on the telematics initiative 'DEFAS FGI BAYERN' for the German Federal State of Bavaria.
Public transport themes were able to be discussed in a more familiar atmosphere, which was due in part to an organized excursion to the outskirts of Vienna to a 'Heurigen-Wirt' or local inn, where participants were pampered with Austrian culinary delicacies.
