Munich Public Transport Wins Top Spot in ADAC Test
The German Automobile Club (ADAC) reviewed public transport systems in 23 European cities for their desirability, trip times, interchange possibilities, passenger information and ticket prices. The ADAC tests were authorized by the chair for transport planning and traffic-control systems at the University of Stuttgart under the leadership of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Markus Friedrich.
Munich ? the only city to receive the ADAC-verdict ?very good? ? took the top spot.
Great emphasis was put on the passenger?s point of view. In this respect Munich impressed with its quality of information and speed of transit. In particular, the internet offering with its detailed and real-time dependant journey planning received special praise from the testers. Additional information regarding accessibility for the disabled and caregivers with baby carriages were also mentioned as strong points. We are delighted that our software contributed to Munich?s success in the ADAC review. Additionally, London and Vienna ? both equipped with mdv-software ? received a rating of ?good? in the category of ?information?.
